I currently work as an interaction/product designer at Snook, a design agency based in London and Glasgow. Snook focuses on the third sector and government sector projects.
In my role, applying design thinking is an essential part of what I do. I would call myself an implementer who wants to get on with it. I love to solve user frustrations by understanding their needs. It is understood through user research, designing with users in mind and iterations. I particularly enjoy making UX improvements to products and working on new features. I would say I work well collaborating with team members of various disciplines.
My experience range from a graphic designer to a user experience designer. Being a natural perfectionist, I pay close attention to detail and aim for high standards. I can produce visually appealing interfaces and at the same time consider how the functionality works.
I prefer to work in fast-paced environments because I like to keep myself busy. And, of course, I do expect room for iterations and improvements that happen fast. Having worked in agile environments, I am familiar with iterating to make improvements. I acknowledge that it’s part of providing better solutions for the user.
Being in touch with my ideas and emotions, and I want a career that allows me to connect with a larger purpose. I believe that great design can be a powerful force in tackling the world’s biggest problems.
