Brief
Create a brand identity and look and feel for a pet search platform
The objective is to establish a visual identity for the Pooda brand. At present, there are no predefined logo designs, colour palettes, or UI designs for the app. Consequently, the design task involves creating a logo and crafting a visual ambiance that will be associated with the app, setting the tone and style for the application.
Process
1. Looking for inspiration & experimentation
Starting from scratch with just the name ‘Pooda,’ associated with pets, I researched what similar pet brands are out there and what competitors exist in the market.
2. Exploring ‘look and feel’
The visual identity involved looking at typefaces, different types of illustrations, colour palettes, etc. I was able to create a mood board and distill ideas from there.
3. Implementing from inspiration
I came up with various logo designs for the brand. I created multiple versions of the logos from which the client could choose.
I had various colour palettes and chose which one would be ideal for the brand. I also chose a 2d illustration style for the app that matches the colour palette.
Using all the design inspiration, I came up with a few interface designs for the mobile app, particularly for registration, onboarding, and home screen.
